What is the National Quarterly Pulse Survey?

The NHS National Quarterly Pulse Survey (NQPS) replaces the old Staff Friends and Family Test Survey and complements the annual NHS Staff Survey and monthly NHS People Pulse Surveys.

The primary purpose of the NQPS is to understand the working experience of staff and employee engagement more regularly and in a consistent approach, to support actions for improvement, with the ambition of making the NHS the workplace we all want it to be for all employees and patients.

All NHS Trusts are required to complete a quarterly NQPS in quarters 1, 2 and 4 of each year so it is something that needs to be managed.
